AvtoVAZ Shows Affordable Family Crossover Lada Azimut

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the manufacturer AvtoVAZ showed a new crossover — Lada Azimut. The car is based on the Lada Vesta and will become part of the brand's strategy to produce affordable family cars.
There is no information about the technical characteristics yet — it is assumed that a 1.6 or 1.8 liter gasoline engine with three power options will be installed under the hood: 120, 138 and 150 horsepower. According to company representatives, Azimut was developed with an eye on everyday practicality and a recognizable appearance. The release is scheduled for 2026. The price will be announced closer to the start of sales, but the company assured that it will be "truly affordable".
An updated Niva Travel SUV with a new 1.8-liter engine with 90 horsepower and a redesigned design was also presented. The updates affected the radiator grille, optics and interior. The Lada Aura, a taxi model, also received a visual update. Technically, it remains the same, but now has a yellow body trim and classic "checkers" on the roof.
