Xiaomi Releases Smart AI Glasses with Photochromic Lenses

Xiaomi has introduced AI Glasses — smart glasses that it positions as an everyday device with personal assistant functions. In addition to a wide range of functions, the new product is interesting due to the ability to choose lenses — regular, colored or “chameleon” with variable transparency.
The gadget is equipped with a Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera, as well as built-in microphones. All this allows smart glasses to “communicate” with the owner: recognize objects by voice request, translate inscriptions and perform other tasks typical of AI assistants.
Some functions of the gadget can be controlled silently — for example, to change the transparency level of electrochromic lenses, it is enough to touch the touch panel on the temple. The device can also record video and work as a wireless headset using built-in speakers.
Xiaomi AI Glasses weigh 40 grams and have a battery life of up to eight hours on a single charge of a 263 mAh battery. You can recharge via the Type-C port. The glasses are available in three body colors: black, dark green, and brown (the last two are made of translucent plastic). Prices in China are as follows:
Standard version: $278.
With colored lenses: $376.
With electrochromic lenses: $418.
